DESCRIPTION: Alocasia ‘Black Suhita’ retains the lanceolate shape of Alocasia scalprum when juvenile, widening slightly as it matures and developing a deep sinus. The abaxial surface is green, differentiating it from another result of the same cross, Alocasia ‘Suhita’ (which has red abaxials, and lighter green adaxials)

This hybrid is named after Suhita, the sixth empress of Majapahit (1429-1447), on the island of Java (home to the Hidayat brothers)
