The series was introduced by Oglesby and later reorganized through the addition Alocasia 'Ebony' (which features distinctive black petioles, while the others all have different shades of pink stems) and the discontinuation of Alocasia ‘Nairobi Nights’ , Alocasia ‘Nile High’, and Alocasia ‘Serengeti’

DESCRIPTION: Nearly identical to Alocasia ‘Morocco’ and Alocasia ‘Nile High’, Alocasia ‘Nairobi Nights’ showed clearer petioles with little to no speckling, and cupped leaves with some puckering
