DESCRIPTION: While creating her famous Alocasia ‘Calidora’ cross, LariAnn Garner also got about four seedlings that had a “pixie” mutation, or in more scientific terms, a dwarf cultivar or form.

While unfortunately this cross did not survive Hurricane Andrew, LariAnn recreated a similar cross (Alocasia brisbanensis x Alocasia odora) which also yielded a dwarf variety which has since become quite popular, Alocasia ‘Tiny Dancers’
